This documents the proceedings of the party with the street family. The event took place on the 20th of December, 2023 at MPI-KENYA office compound located inside Mathare Vocational training centre. The activity brought together 300 people who lives in the street accompanied by their children. The beneficiaries from the city of choice for all came in plenty to aid in the preparation and distribution of food, fruits and donating clothes.
The purpose of this activity was to share with the less fortunate during the festive season promoting integration and cohesion between the street family and the community and give back to the community, meeting one of the objective of MPI-KENYA as an organization which is peace building and civic engagement. The day was marked with different activities including: speeches from MPI-KENYA representatives, distribution of food and clothes to the street family, Nation media TV interview of MPI-KENYA and street family representatives and dancing challenge.
