Food Distribution to the Vulnerable members of the community.
This happened concurrently with the first graduation ceremony at the Green Innovation Hub whereby more than 50 families got served.
The day begun by participants gathering at MPIs innovation hub and introduction followed.
Thereafter, Happy Alphonce welcomed all and appreciated everyone for participating and taking part in the activity.
Thematic Discussions
⦁ Michael Oyier MPI-KENYA- He welcomed all and briefly stated why there was a gathering at the hub. He later invited Vinette for an opening remark.
⦁ Vinette Nabwire MPI-KENYA - She gave an opening remark and welcomed all for coming. She stated that the team has been on the forefront to ensure that the beneficiaries gets the necessary skills at the Green Innovation hub for marketability purposes.
⦁ Jane Seluya MPI-KENYA- She stated that parents should endeavour to opportunity to urge the parents not to facilitate early child marriage of their girls and allow them prosper.
⦁ Jecinter Akoth MPI-KENYA- She stated that life skill education is fundamental as girls oftenly succumb to violence especially in the informal settlement.
⦁ Beneficiaries- Several of them were given an opportunity to address the participants.Loko Liban from Ethiopia, Nasibo james from Ethiopia, Akimana Florie from Burundi and Wycliffe from Uganda. They stated that cohort 3 and four should work hard and not take the opportunity for granted. They also thanked MPI- KENYA and UMCOR for granting them an opportunity of acquiring skills which are vital.
⦁ Happy Alphonce MPI-KENYA - He gave a closing remark by thanking the parents for allowing their children to join the program. He guaranteed the parents that the confidence of the beneficiaries have been nurtured and the beneficiaries that had completed the training some of them have been retained as volunteers where they continue to learn and sharpen the skills in the organizational world.
